GORILLAZ

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 2026

Tour Director Neil McDonald and Production Manager Tyrone Brunton, alongside the talented teams at Swear Studios and Pixelmappers, called on Lights Control Rigging to supply the lighting, control, rigging and automation package for Gorillaz’s first-ever stadium headline show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Having worked with the team earlier in the year on the band’s arena tour across the UK and Ireland, it was fantastic to be part of this next milestone as Gorillaz made history with their first-ever stadium headline show, performing to a sold-out crowd. Scaling up the arena production for this spectacular one-off performance, the show brought the band’s distinctive virtual world to life on a much bigger stage.

Working closely with Pixelmappers, we delivered a comprehensive lighting package to create a dynamic, layered look across the production. The rig featured Martin MAC Aura XIPs and Sceptron XBs, Ayrton Argos and Rivales, ACME PixelLine IPs, Astera PixelBricks and AX9s, alongside Chauvet STRIKE Ms and COLORado PXL Curves. Robe iForte LTXs, controlled by Robe RoboSpots, helped keep the show’s wealth of performers in the spotlight throughout the performance.

With the band’s summer festival tour now wrapped up, it’s been a pleasure to look back on such a special moment in Gorillaz’s journey. We’re proud to have played our part in bringing this landmark show to life and grateful to the team for having us on board.
