Our Story
Many years ago, Mike and Ryan dreamed of creating a lighting company which focused solely on the needs of the client.
They wanted to move beyond corporate targets and quotas, creating a workplace where staff genuinely enjoyed coming to work, and where clients felt like more than just another name on a job sheet. Their vision was to create something different from the norm, something that provided the best service and kit possible without sacrificing that personal touch that many companies lose over time.
Before inception in 2017, Lights Control Rigging consisted of Mike and Ryan sitting around a dining room table, offering their expertise and advice to clients. Then came the first piece of gear—a grandMA2 onPC. Next were motors and rigging. Consoles followed. And finally, the lights. Each step was intentional. Each addition brought them closer to the company they had imagined.
Since then, LCR has become a force in the industry, working with some of the biggest artists on the planet, helping deliver unforgettable shows that continue to push the boundaries of live production.
This growth has taken the company far beyond what Mike and Ryan initially imagined, making their dream a reality.
